Highlights from Camping and Caravanning Club Motorhome Survey

When The Camping and Caravanning Club surveyed 5000 motorhome owners about their favourite destinations and more, the results were intriguing.

  • The most popular European holiday destination is France. In the UK it’s the Scottish Highlands.
  • If motorhome owners could holiday anywhere, New Zealand would be their top choice.
  • The 3 most important parts of a motorhome holiday are: the weather, the campsite and the company you share.
  • The top 5 motorhomes aspired to were Hymer (14%) Autosleepers (11%) Autotrail (8%) Burstner (6%) Niesmann & Bischoff (4%).
  • Most motorhome owners replace their vehicle every 6 to 10 years.

Many motorhome owners love local with 53% saying they would prefer to buy their next motorhome from a local dealer.

We’re approved to fit VB-Airsuspension to the Mercedes-Benz Vito/V Class

VB Air Suspension, an official Van Partner of Mercedes-Benz has developed a new air suspension system for the Vito and V Class. The newly developed VB-FullAir 2C system delivers a constant ride height, increased comfort, optimum driveability, increased stability, reduced wear of tyres/brakes and lower CO2 emissions. The system also provides the option to lower the rear end of the vehicle: the so-called “kneeling function”.

Following on from the introduction of the VB-FullAir 2C, VB Air Suspension has also initiated the development of a VB-FullAir 4C system (air suspension on the front and rear axle) for the Mercedes-Benz Vito/V Class. The first prototype has already been installed on a Mercedes-Benz Vito/V Class 4×4.

Commenting on these exciting developments, Ryan Walker, Managing Director of Rosmia, the southeast’s accredited VB-Airsuspension service centre and dealership said:

“VB-Airsuspension complies with all relevant legislation including the requirements of VOSA and the VCA. It is an approved, tried and tested product that has been used by Mercedes-Benz for many years. We are looking forward to working with Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the Southeast and demonstrating our engineering and technical capability not to mention our passion for delivering exemplary customer service; something that Mercedes-Benz is renowned for.”

E&P Hydraulics Levelling System now fitted to all new Buccaneer caravans

Rosmia can announce that all  new Buccaneer models are now fitted with the automatic levelling system by E&P Hydraulics. Operated from a control panel next to the entrance door, the system uses modified corner steadies and a pair of axle jacks to level the van in two minutes, so there’s no need for a steady winder or cordless electric drill.  Once level, all connections are easy to access.

e-and-p-jacks-remoteRosmia is the southeast accredited dealer and service centre for the E&P Hydraulics Levelling System. Headed by Managing Director Ryan Walker, Rosmia offers a full service to Elddis customers buying a new Buccaneer caravan. This includes servicing the system, resolving any faults both within and outside of the guarantee period and answering any questions from Elddis customers and the Elddis sales and service team.  Rosmia engineers can also retro fit the system to existing caravans at their extensive centre in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

Rosmia Managing Director Ryan Walker said: “We have been installing the E&P Hydraulics LevelSystem to motorhomes and caravans for over 4 years and so I am delighted that Elddis, a nationally renowned brand has decided to have it fitted to all new Buccaneer caravans. We are now making Elddis dealerships aware not only of our servicing capability as an E&P accredited service centre, but also of the opportunity they have to showcase the benefits of the system to existing customers that will benefit from it. Retro fitting the system is straightforward and requires little, if any modification of a customer’s caravan.”
